Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

Responsibility Summary: The Sr. TAP is responsible for providing the highest level of talent acquisition services to QVC, delivering high quality professional and executive-level (Director level) talent while advancing the QVC brand across numerous markets and professional communities. The Sr. TAP will perform full lifecycle recruiting and develop trusting relationships with senior leaders and hiring managers, candidates, external vendors and partners, and the general community

Key Accountabilities:
Organize strategy and planning related to recruiting:
  • Work collaboratively with hiring managers at assigned levels from various departments within QVC to develop recruiting strategies to meet business needs such as university relations strategy, intern strategy, search assignments etc.
  • Create an annual proactive recruiting plan for assigned client areas.
  • Research, recommend and implement new and innovative recruiting avenues for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Develop ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies for immediate needs and future talent pipelining.
  • Review internal succession plans for role and share any potential candidates as part of the recruiting process.
Execute recruiting plans and source candidates:
  • Fill open positions effectively and efficiently, within defined Service Level metrics.
  • Clearly articulate and “sell” QVC's Employment Value Proposition to candidates and external parties, including culture, business strategies, talent management and organizational/team structure, and reward offering to increase awareness and interest in QVC opportunities.
  • Prescreen candidates, review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills
  • Participate in selection processes (interviews, assessment centers, job simulations)
  • Coach hiring manager and interviewers/assessors on appropriate selection method best practice, methodology and practical use of, to ensure consistencies and high quality execution throughout the interview process.
Managing the Candidate & the Offer:
  • Manages candidate through the entire life cycle of the recruiting process.
  • Collaborates with hiring manager and Compensation (if applicable) to create and deliver a comprehensive, appropriate and balanced offer, in line with agreed guidelines.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations in market, as relates to talent acquisition practices.
Labor Market Expertise:
  • Provide periodic “market” updates to the wider HR and TA team and business on market trends/position/conditions etc., to include talent summaries, problems/solutions, skills gaps, market developments, technology changes etc.
Critical Skills/Knowledge:
  • The Sr. TAP must have a deep understanding of the talent acquisition function and experience preferably within a high touch, fast pace environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of corporate business operations and the ability to translate business needs into recruitment strategies and actions.
  • The Sr.TAP will have very strong experience and be highly skilled in the recruitment of a variety of different roles (from high volume to specialist/professional/executive), and utilize expertise of a broad range of applicable selection methods and techniques.
  • The Sr TAP will also create solutions that will be effective across departments, and geographies, and effectively coordinate, leverage and communicate these solutions to ensure consistent delivery, while delivering an exceptional candidate and client experience.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills. C2 Language Skills required.
    • Strong technical expertise in direct sourcing techniques and use of social media in talent attraction.
    • Strong assessment skills to evaluate candidate's business and or technical background
    • Excellent customer service skills and a consultative approach when collaborating with internal and external clients
    • Demonstrated recruitment strategy/tactics development and execution
    • Demonstrable ability to provide leadership, coaching and mentoring on talent acquisition practices, to both business leaders and other members of Talent Acquisition.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the lead and show leadership courage.
  • Working industry knowledge related to key client areas/market
  • Excellent interviewing and active listening skills.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting-based websites, applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office and creative sourcing techniques.
  • Working knowledge of applicable market employment laws.
  • 5-8 years of recruiting experience
